Areas of Volunteer Service at the Life Center...
If you are interested in serving with the ministry of The Life Center, you may do so in a number of ways listed below. An asterisk indicates that volunteer training is required; however, all volunteers are encouraged to attend the volunteer training to have a better understanding of this ministry.
Volunteer in the Center
• Female Peer Advocate* (4-8 hours per week seeing women at the Center).
• Clinic Receptionist (4 hours per week / answering phones, greeting clients)
• Follow-up Advocate (4 hours per week calling or mailing clients)
• Clothes Closet Organizer (4 hours per week organizing clothes, gifts, etc.)
• Nurses needed to train in ultrasound (give prenatal and STD teaching)
• Male Client Advocate* on call to meet with male clients for mentoring
• Female Mentors* on call.
Volunteer Outside the Center
• Baby and Maternity Shower Hostess (Hosting a Baby or Maternity shower at a
church or agency.)
Volunteer from Your Home Group Activities
• Prayer Warrior
• Help with mass mailings
• Donate infant or maternity clothes
• Call the Center about Special Projects
• Sew large-size maternity clothes
• Make refreshments for special meetings
Public Relations Finances
• Representative to your church
• Give a one-time donation
• Tell a pastor about The Life Center
• Make a monthly pledge
• Set-up a presentation at church or agency
• Organize fundraisers
Resources
• Offer medical services
• Offer legal aid
• Offer employment opportunities
